Time to read 1 minute: De Meern, August 27, 2020 -  The French listed company Trigano has reached an agreement on the acquisition of a majority stake in Gimeg Holding B.V. (Gimeg). Frank Gijsberts, as current director-shareholder, will be responsible for the day-to-day management. Norbert Diederik will remain as shareholder and consultant and will remain directly involved in the development of Gimeg.


Gimeg Holding B.V. with its operating companies Gimeg Nederland B.V. and Gimeg België N.V. is a leading full service importer / wholesaler active in the camping and recreation market and in the market for indoor and outdoor fireplaces. With the brands Mestic and Travellife, Gimeg has 2 strong brands in the camping and recreation market. With the brands Livin'flame, Livin'outdoor and Cosi, Gimeg has strong brands in the market for indoor and outdoor fireplaces. In addition to these own brands, Gimeg has a number of exclusive brands (such as Truma, Westfield, Milenco) and wholesale brands in its portfolio. This enables Gimeg to offer a complete range to its customers. Gimeg's customers are specialist camping shops, DIY chains, garden centers and online retailers.

About 50 employees currently work at Gimeg. In recent years, Gimeg has been able to achieve significant growth in turnover in the BeNeLux and beyond. For the future, further international growth is expected through a focus on the strong own brands.
