Gas equipment is indispensable during a camping trip. You need several items: a gas cylinder, a gas pressure regulator and don't forget: a gas hose. With the Truma gas hose, you can connect a gas cylinder with your Truma MonoControl or DuoControl system, allowing you to cook on the camping without any hazard. We have a matching hose for every system in our selection.
Truma gas hose with hose rupture protection
This Truma gas hose makes using a gas cylinder safer. The hose security valve serves as protection, closing off the gas cylinder in case of a leakage or rupture to prevent accidents. The hose is 45 cm long and made of rubber. It fits with German gas cylinders. The inlet connection varies per country. At Gimeg you can also find gas hoses with a connection type for other European countries' cylinders. Please note that gas hoses are sensitive to UV light, especially when they are made of rubber. They may need to be replaced regularly when used outside. Also, make sure your gas hose is bent in a smooth curve when installing in a vehicle. It may rupture if you create a sharp bend.
- Inlet connection: G12 DE (suitable for German gas cylinders)
- Outlet connection: M20x1.5
- Material: rubber
- Length: 45 cm
Inspect your gas hose
For safety reasons, you should inspect your gas hose yearly. First, bend the hose and pull it tight. Are any ruptures appearing? Then you need to replace it. Low-pressure hoses generally need to be replaced every 3 years and high-pressure hoses every 5 years. Truma applies a maximum service life of 10 years. The production date of the gas hose is printed on the hose, so you can check its service life. When installing a new gas hose, you can check for leakage with some water and detergent. If air bubbles appear, you have a leak. Make sure to fix this before using your gas system.
This Truma gas hose is the perfect hose to use on the camping. But remember: safety always goes first! Get an experienced professional to install the hose and always check for leaks before using your gas installation.
