A good gas installation will provide you lots of comfort while camping. It will allow you to prepare nice meals on your cooker, heat and chill. You will require several elements for this. Obviously you will start with a gas cylinder, but without a gas pressure regulator and gas hose you will not yet be able to use your gas yet. You can find a suitable hose for any connection in our assortment.
Gimeg HD gas hose
A gas hose will transport the gas from the cylinder to your gas pipe, so you can use your gas. This hose from Gimeg is made of rubber and measures 50 centimetres. Keep in mind that gas hoses are sensitive to UV light, especially when they are made of rubber. This may mean that gas hoses used outdoors require more frequent replacement. Are you connecting a gas hose inside a vehicle? Then make sure the hose is in a flowing bend. If it is bent too sharply, it can rupture.
- Input connection: Shell

Check your gas hose
For your own safety it is important to check your gas hose annually. You do this by bending the hose and pulling it straight. Do you notice any tears? Then it needs to be replaced. In general low pressure hoses need to be replaced every three years, while high pressure hoses require replacement every five years. The gas hose shows the production date, so you can check how long you have been using the hose. When you are connecting the new hose, you can use water and a bit of dish washing liquid to check for any leakage. If bubbles appear, there is a leak in the connection. Make sure this is solved before you start using your connection.
This rubber gas hose from Gimeg is the ideal hose for inside your vehicle. Remember that safety always comes first. The gas hose needs to be connected by an experienced mechanic and needs to be checked for leakage before using your gas installation.
